Launching your Martial Arts School - Marketing

We recommend a 4 week phase to launch your martial arts school. You want to use a shotgun approach by applying lots of methods of marketing which will create synergy. Your only objective is to make as many people as possible aware of the launch, and to attend the event.

Martial Arts Marketing Methods:

Posters - 30 x A3 full colour approximately 40-60

Flyers - 20K A5 colour both sides flyers approx 500-700

Press Adverts - 15 x 3 b&w advert approx 150-200

FREE Trial Passes - business COLOR: rgb(0,153,0)! important; BORDER-BOTTOM: rgb(0,153,0) 1px solid; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana,Arial,sans-serif; POSITION: static; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent">card size colour both sides 80-100

Press Release - FREE

Week 4

Write a Press Release about the Launch of your School and send to every available publication and then follow up with a call to the relevant person

Put 30+ posters all around your new schools area (shops, schools, takeaways, public places etc)

Put out flyers with posters where possible in piles of 50

Give out FREE Trial Passes to all the businesses who display posters/flyers for their employees and family - think win win!

Visit Schools in your area and tell the headteacher about your school and its positive benefits, ask if they will distribute leaflets or school packs to students

Week 3

Have 15-20K Flyers distributed around the residential area of your school, if you can't stretch to this in your budget ensure you distribute 1000 flyers each of the 4 weeks before the launch

Continue school visits until whole of your area is covered

Give out more guest trial passes to businesses

Week 2

Give out 1000 flyers in the town centre or shopping area nearest your school, have helpers of all ages in uniform to assist

Place a Press Advert in your local newspaper try and get an early right hand page, you may get a good deal with a free paper for placing 3-4 adverts so be flexible and see what you can get most for your money

give out more trial passes to businesses

top up your flyers in shops

Week 1

Give 1000 flyers in the town centre or shopping area nearest your school, have helpers of all ages in uniform to assist

Repeat press advert if your budget permits
